Today is National Manufacturing Day. This day is held on the first Friday in October to bring awareness to students, parents, and the public about modern manufacturing. New manufacturing technologies bring new careers that require a skilled workforce interested in pursuing them. This day also provides an opportunity for manufacturers to highlight their work and workers to energize a future pipeline of skilled workers. This is the biggest opportunity to inspire the next generation, positively shift perceptions of the industry, and build a foundation for the manufacturing workforce in the future.
