National Farmers Safety and Health Week takes place September 17-23 and is held by the National Education Center for Agriculture Safety (NECAS). In 1944, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the first proclamation or farm safety due to the high injury rate in agriculture. This week is committed to improving the safety and well-being of everyone working on farms.
