The acronym M-S-Q stands for “Management System Questionnaire.” The MSQ® is ISNetworld®’s standardized questionnaire that appears in every ISN® account. This questionnaire is used by Hiring Clients to evaluate a business by comparing the responses provided by the contractor, weighed against what the Hiring Client would prefer to see. The MSQ® can be intimidating and time-consuming as there can be anywhere from 800 to 2,000 questions. The amount of questions depend on the number of hiring clients you have and specific requirements.
Each ISN® account has a main questionnaire, the MSQ®, that is based on the country where your business performs its operations. This questionnaire gathers detailed information about a businesses safety programs, policies, and procedures. This allows Hiring Clients to evaluate a contractor’s safety compliance and determine if the business is suitable for work.
The MSQ® is the foundation of ensuring your ISN® account depicts an accurate reflection of the attention your company places on developing and maximizing safety culture. Completing the questionnaire thoroughly and accurately can help you maintain a good ISN® grade. It also helps demonstrate your company’s compliance to potential Hiring Clients. The MSQ® accounts for 10-15% of your overall ISN® grade.
