Getting Started with Avetta®

In today’s fast-paced business world, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks can be overwhelming. That’s where Avetta® comes in—a powerful platform designed to simplify supplier management and enhance safety across your supply chain.

What is Avetta®?

Avetta® is a comprehensive platform that connects clients and suppliers, streamlining the management and strengthening of supply chains in one seamless network. The platform has tools to connect you with more clients, operate at the highest level of safety and avoid fines and lawsuits. The main purpose of Avetta® is to reduce risks and improve safety and sustainability in the company’s supplier prequalification process.

How Much Does Avetta Cost?

There are three main factors considered when pricing your Avetta® membership, including:

  • Annual Membership Fee: Varies depending on the size of your company and the number of employees
  • Connection Fee: Based off the number of hiring client connections you are connected to
  • And, Account Type Fee: Varies depending if your account is a Premier account or a Advantage account which is based on your scope of work

Getting Started

The hiring client will confirm via verbal communication, email, or a formal letter if you are required to obtain an Avetta® account. The letter will specify a date in which signup, account completion, and required information must be completed by. If you already have an Avetta® account, you can connect to the client by searching the company’s name in the “Find Clients” map section, or the hiring client can give you their Avetta® ID and you can connect with them that way.

Registering an Account

To register for an account, search “Getting Registered Avetta®“, complete the required information, and submit. Once this is done, you will create a username and password. After you sign into your account, select the client you’re working for and proceed with payment. The account will open and you can complete your tasks and input all information required such as the Pre-Qualification Form (PQF).

Grading System

Avetta® grades an account using a color code, including:

  • Green: Compliant
  • Yellow: Conditional; met some requirements, not all, but are still able to perform work
  • Red: Non-complaint
  • And, Gray: Pending; meaning there is a new connection and a grade has yet to be assigned

In addition, you may notice an exclamation mark (!) inside one of the colors. This indicates that a variance has been approved, and your company has been moved into a working status.

The grading system depends on how you answer questions, the manual audit, insurance, and statistics for the last 3 years, such as your Experience Modification Rate (EMR), OSHA 300 Log, and any violations.

Questionnaires

There can be multiple questionnaires that you may need to fill out. You will always need to complete the standard Avetta® PQF questionnaire. Additionally, depending on the hiring client’s requirements, a client-specific questionnaire may be required to be completed. There may also be an insurance questionnaire which will determine required limits, but this will only appear if the hiring client requires it.

Conclusion

Getting started with Avetta® is a key step in streamlining supply chain management and improving compliance and safety across operations. Whether you’re managing vendor relationships or ensuring regulatory compliance, Avetta helps you stay organized, efficient, and proactive.
